I. Conditions for enrollment:

  • Medical fitness as defined by specific regulations (medical certificate issued by a general practitioner), and compliance with traffic safety requirements defined in the BM decree (declaration section of the application form)
  • Primary school education
  • Minimum age: no more than six months younger than 17

II. Conditions for taking exams:

  • Fulfillment of enrollment requirements
  • Completion of required theoretical and practical lessons and payment of course fees, including exam fees
  • For theoretical exam: no more than three months younger than 17
  • For practical exam: at least 17 years old

III. First aid course:

A first aid qualification must be presented at the document office for issuing the driving licence.

Exemption applies to those with medical qualifications or those who obtained a driving licence or driver’s certificate after January 1, 1984.

First aid exam fee: 19,990 Ft, organized and paid to the Vöröskereszt


IV. About the course:

1. E-learning theoretical training (“B” category)

Access duration: 180 or 240 days depending on the package, with 75 or 90 hours available in the system.
Additional hours can be purchased if exceeded.

After completing the course, a theoretical exam must be taken at the Közlekedési Alkalmassági és Vizsgaközpont from the following subjects:

  • Traffic knowledge (KRESZ)
  • Driving theory
  • Technical and operational knowledge

Practical training may begin after passing the theoretical exam.


2. Practical training:

a) Basic training:
Learning vehicle handling, maneuvering, and safety checks. No exemption possible.

b) Main training:
Driving in various traffic conditions. Practical exam can be taken after completing required and additional lessons.

Minimum required hours:

  • Basic training: 9 hours
  • City driving: 14 hours
  • Highway driving: 4 hours
  • Night driving: 2 hours
  • Exam: 1 hour

Total: 30 hours (including 1 exam hour)
Lesson duration: 50 minutes


3. Course fees:

Installment payment available.

  • Category B budget e-learning course: 52,000 Ft
  • Category B Optimum course: 62,000 Ft
  • Category B full e-learning course with first aid: 79,000 Ft
  • Category B English e-learning course: 94,000 Ft

Practical training:

  • Minimum 29 hours + 1 exam hour + 580 km
  • Price from 11,000 Ft/hour

Payment schedule:

  • First payment: deposit for selected theory package at enrollment
  • Practical lessons payable in 10-hour blocks in advance

The school reserves the right to change prices.

V. Exam fees:

  • Theoretical exam: 4,600 Ft
  • Practical exam: 11,000 Ft

Administrative fees may apply.

First aid exam fee: 19,990 Ft (paid to Vöröskereszt, not part of course fee, subject to change)


VI. Terms of service:

School obligations:

  • Assist the student throughout training
  • Provide enrollment information
  • Deliver theoretical and practical training professionally
  • Schedule practical driving based on capacity
  • Handle training administration and exams
  • Inform students about important matters (e.g. exam dates)

School rights:

  • Enforce student obligations
  • Warn or exclude students in case of misconduct

Student obligations:

  • Attend all theoretical lessons (make up absences)
  • Prepare for exams
  • Arrive on time and appropriately for driving

Late cancellation (within 24 hours) or absence is recorded as “Did not attend” and must be paid and completed.


Student rights:

  • Enforce the school’s obligations

VII. Other important information:

  • First theoretical exam must be taken within 9 months from course start
  • Must pass within 12 months
  • All exams must be completed within 2 years after passing theory

After 5 failed practical exams, a PÁV test is required.
